Gerrylocked At Last...

I'm still new in this blogging thing...so I don't update as frequently as I should..

My visit to Philadelphia was wonderful, Gerry Mayo truly is a beautiful soul; I arrived there on Sunday the 27th; after a 22 hr flight from SA via Israel... and we went straight to business...full day Monday and another full day Tuesday with 3 people working on my hair...

I was so tired by the end of it all... but it was well worth it. I look absolutely wonderful... I must post some pics but I'm so bad with downloading pics from my camera...all in due time:)

I have about 3 tones in my hair with very light ends..
lock count approximately 310..

and yes I have a stunning head of mature looking locks...

Ps: a few people in NY complemented me on my 'sisterlocks'...I didn't have the time to 'correct' all of them so I simply smiled in acknowledgement..

Later:)
PS: I really really love my locs!!

Your loc extensions look great. I did my friend's locks the exact same way 2 weeks ago and you both look like loc ext. twins, haha! I wanted to start my friend's locks the same way, but she insisted on making the extension part thicker even though her parts were smaller. I told her this wouldn't work, but went ahead and gave her what she wanted. Now a year later she had me redo them to look skinnier and I told her next time take my advice when i'm doing her hair. Now they look like yours, the way they should have looked on day one. I'm going to send her your blog address so she can see for herself.

I'm so glad I stumbled across your blog! Your locks are beautiful. I've been interested in sisterlocks for a while, but I wanted more length (and my hair grows REALLY slowly). I'll definately be looking into gerrylocks. Plus, I adore all things South African! I hope to visit next year. :-)
Peace and blessings,
Nika

Nika, thanks for dropping by and I truly get you, by all means get yourself gerry locks, your hair will grow at its own pace and it won't bother you one bit...Pls visit SA and let me know when you coming around :-)

you need to help me. yes YOU!! I have soft fine black hair and living in Japan doesn't help at all. So most days i just go afro (not that people care, they love it). But I need a real change now.
I need to start locking my hair on my own (or with hubby's help). Please guide us what to do.
